Inalfa Roof Systems Auburn Hills

Inalfa Roof Systems is a tier one car roof manufacturer with worldwide presence. Worldwide collaboration site called Global resided in Auburn Hills Michigan. This caused delays due to upload and download speed for users outside of the US.

Inalfa Roof Systems decided to create a new MOSS server in Europe (Venray Netherland). Net Activity was brought in to help install the server in Venray (Netherlands). Furthermore Intranet and Global sites content were migrated to the new server. Syntergy software was used to keep the Global site in Venray and that in US in sync. Now users can collaborate with their associates overseas but upload and downloads are from local server.

Pinkney Perry

Pinkney Perry had an aging infrastructure with two old Windows 2000 server. Email was hosted outside and firewall services were questionable. The goals for the project were: 1) Get Email services in house and provide common calendaring plus common contact list 2) Install one server that could provide all the services 3) Provide VPN services for remote users 4) Remove Spam from emails 5) Provide Mobile 5/6 based email services to owners cellular phones.

Net Activity installed Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 on a HP ML 370 server with Microsoft Exchange. Cisco PIX firewall was installed for security and VPN. Now Pinkney Perry can have remote sales staff from other cities work using the VPN. Email, calendaring , common contact list and emails to mobile phones are being provided by Exchange 2003 SP2. Net Activity, Inc. also installed 5 new workstations. Spam is being removed by Barracuda device before email is delivered to Pinkney Perry network.
